A Snapshot of Your Day
You serve as a catalyst for change, playing a pivotal role in a multi-functional team. Your responsibilities include leading and participating in the development and implementation of a technology roadmap aimed at enhancing performance and capabilities across the Siemens Energy business areas and at our suppliers. Lead, mentor, and collaborate with global teams to ensure state-of-the-art metrology knowledge and experience within the Supplier Quality & Development (SQD) function.
How You’ll Make an Impact
- Thought leadership in the latest trends and industry developments, alongside technical expertise in metrology within the SE supply chain, serving as a technical and quality expert and service provider to SQD teams and suppliers.
- Development and leadership of strategic initiatives and projects aimed at advancing current metrology solutions and enhancing SQD and supplier capabilities, driving overall operational excellence through effective planning, tracking, and reporting of project achievements, as well as managing budget and resource needs in cross-functional teams.
- Utilization of problem-solving methodologies to diagnose issues and opportunities, proactively identify and mitigate risks, and initiate actions to meet specific or systemic business needs.
- Enhancement of metrology knowledge and expertise within the global supplier quality network by organizing and leading a global community of experts and users for knowledge sharing and training on metrology solutions, their applications, and implementation.
- Performance of Supplier Capability Assessments and support for Supplier Qualification on Metrology for new suppliers to enable smooth integration into Siemens Energy’s global supply chain.
What You Bring
- Bachelor's Degree or equivalent experience in mechanical, industrial engineering, business informatics or a similar discipline and several years of experience within the field. An equivalent combination of education, training, and experience in quality assurance, engineering, or manufacturing will also be considered. An advanced degree is preferred.
- Several years of professional experience in the field of metrology / dimensional inspection and proficiency in the acquisition and analysis of 3D measurement data, utilizing software such as Polyworks®, GOM/ZEISS INSPECT, or comparable analytical tools.
- Proactive self-starter with strong initiative, determination, and self-reliance. Your organizational, strategic, analytical thinking, and intercultural expertise complete your profile.
- Demonstrated experience in leading and/or facilitating projects and task forces, ensuring the continuous progression of projects, promptly resolving any obstacles that arise, and managing virtual multi-functional teams in an international environment.
- Experience in project management, data analytics and effectively communicating facts and results across various organizational levels.
- Highly proficient in English (both written and spoken), willing to travel domestically and internationally up to 40% of the time. German proficiency is beneficial.
