A Snapshot of Your Day

On a day-to-day basis, you will be responsible for managing the cost-effective supply of materials & services in line with company processes based on customer requirements, while maintaining safety, quality and on-time delivery standards. Internally, you will provide an excellent customer orientated procurement service to support our Order Winning, Operations, Project Management, Engineering and Finance teams.

How You’ll Make an Impact

  • Drive cost savings and supplier performance to support Grid Technology’s business goals. Lead supplier negotiations and contract management, ensuring optimal performance, compliance, safety and customer satisfaction.
  • Embrace and champion digitalization and continuous improvement initiatives, leveraging AI to enhance procurement efficiency. Build and nurture strong supplier relationships, implement supplier development programs and maximize potential of the supply base.
  • Collaborate cross-functionally with engineering, project management, legal, operations order management to deliver best in class procurement solutions.
  • Identify and manage risks in the supply chain, developing mitigation plans and engaging suppliers proactively. Utilize advanced supplier relationship management techniques such as supplier scorecards and performance reviews to enhance performance
  • Communicate effectively with stakeholders at all levels to ensure alignment and transparency. Define and implement product strategies for BU specific requirements in line with Siemens Energy Guidelines, optimizing market opportunities.
  • Collaboration with commodity management to assure consistent approach and maximizing volume where relevant

What You Bring 

  • Degree in supply chain, business or related field. 6+ years’ experience in procurement of engineered produts/service provision in a project environment
  • Advanced analytical, negotiation and stakeholder management skills. Excellent written and oral communication in English; German language skills are an advantage
  • Proficiency in Microsoft office, SAP and analytical tools and demonstrate success in digital transformation initiatives.
  • Experience of a service or project business environment. Have an excellent understanding of contract law. Have sourcing experience preferably in an international capacity.
  • Must be customer focused and a collaborative team player with the ability to assess priorities, demonstrate flexibility and act with a sense of urgency
  • Self-motivated, detail oriented, demonstrate problem solving abilities, decision-making, and continuous improvement skills.
