    A Snapshot of Your Day

    You will collaborate with a cross-functional team to deliver commodity strategies, lead sourcing projects to achieve Total Cost Reduction, and deliver a weatherproof supply chain! Sources, evaluates, and engages with suppliers including traveling to their facilities as needed. Ensures observance of obligatory Procurement processes and regulations.

     


    How You’ll make an Impact

    • Contributes to implementation and ensures usage of globally defined methods, processes, and systems to ensure high process efficiency and process compliance (e.g., compliant Purchase-to-Pay (P2P) process, Procurement guidelines, IT systems). Prepares and conducts negotiations to obtain the highest feasible savings.
    • Develop and lead the implementation of the commodity strategy such as: silicon steel, bushings, on load tap changer and non-load tap changer, oil, including action plans (roadmaps) aligned with general business objectives.
    • Coordinate with suppliers to meet operational/customer requirements and ensure clear communication & escalation of risks to relevant partners.
    • Responsible for seamlessly handling the placement of both direct and indirect purchase orders.
    • Supplier prequalification, Strategic Evaluation, Risk Evaluation, & Supplier Development in SAP Ariba tool.
    • Intervention/Coordination between supplier and project execution for technical clarification (in case of any ambiguity)
    • Preparation of Contract Agreement/Negotiation report as per controlled template.

     


    What You Bring

    • 5+ years of experience within Procurement and bachelor’s degree in engineering.
    • Previous experience in the Energy segment or Power Transformers business is preferred.
    • Experience in buying materials such as: silicon steel, bushings, oil, on load tap changer, and services for power and medium transformers.
    • Proficient in Microsoft Office; SAP proficiency is preferred.
    • Profound experience managing vendors; acute customer-focus, both internal & external, and a collaborative team player
    • Skilled Influencer, possessing strong diplomacy, collaboration, & interpersonal skills and savvy.
    • Knowledge of sending RFQ to potential suppliers for quotation, keeping in view the updated approved supplier list, and introducing new suppliers where needed.
    • Strong abilities in problem and conflict solving, negotiations, critical thinking, and commitment.
    • Experience with advanced negotiation concepts (e.g., e-Auction, Pooling, Total Cost of Ownership, and Supplier Day) to drive cost savings and supplier relationship management. Previous experience on Siemens tools & environment is preferred.
    • Proven experience in cost reduction projects.
    • Experience supporting internal external audits, ensuring compliance and process improvement, is a plus.
    • Fluency in English is required. Bilingual English and Spanish is plus.
