How to contribute to our vision
As a Specialist Professional in Bid Management, you will be responsible for managing the complete, end-to-end bid and proposal process for complex technical solutions. You will lead the development of high-quality, competitive, and strategically aligned proposals, primarily focusing on Power Plant Control Systems and Digitalization products. This role requires a subject matter expert who can navigate intricate client requirements and deliver compelling offers that maximize value for both the company and the client. Your core activities will involve the detailed analysis of Requests for Proposals (RFPs), close collaboration with cross-functional teams including sales, engineering, operations, and finance, and the preparation of comprehensive technical and commercial offers. You will apply deep engineering knowledge to ensure proposals are technically accurate and feasible, while also performing market and price analysis to formulate a winning bid strategy. Your expertise will be crucial in customer meetings, contract management, and ensuring all submissions are timely and compliant. Success in this position demands a strong foundation in an engineering discipline combined with significant experience in the bid management lifecycle. You must be an adaptable and proactive professional, capable of coordinating multiple activities in a dynamic work environment. This role is central to our sales operations, directly impacting business growth and continuity by securing new projects and supporting our regional strategy.
What You Need To Make a Difference
- 50% Bid and Proposal Management
- Manage the end-to-end bid process, from opportunity qualification to proposal submission, for technical and commercial offers.
- Analyze client requirements (RFPs) to develop and articulate a clear, strategic response.
- Prepare, review, and edit offer calculations and documentation to ensure quality, competitiveness, and compliance.
- Ensure the timely submission of all bid-related documents.
- Develop and maintain supporting sales process documents, including proposal templates and price lists.
- 30% Cross-Functional Collaboration
- Collaborate with sales teams to identify and qualify sales opportunities based on strategic fit.
- Coordinate with engineering and operations teams to confirm the technical accuracy and feasibility of proposed solutions.
- Liaise with finance, legal, and other support teams to ensure proposals meet all commercial and corporate objectives.
- Participate in customer meetings to present proposals, clarify requirements, and support negotiations.
- 20% Market Analysis and Contract Support
- Perform competitive market and price trend analysis to inform and optimize bid strategies.
- Assist in the management of contracts and the execution of customer orders following a successful bid.
- Maintain internal databases for proposals, pricing, and customer information to support future bids and analysis.
Education
- Bachelor's Degree in Electrical, Control, Electronics, Mechanical Engineering, or a related technical field.
- 5+ years of professional experience in bid management, proposal development, or sales engineering, preferably within the energy or industrial automation sector.
