A Snapshot of Your Day

Imagine starting your day with preparing your negotiation strategy before attending a meeting with a business partner where you will independently negotiate the terms and conditions of a new guarantee facility agreement. Later, you will review and provide your signoff on facility agreements negotiated by your colleagues in the regions. After your lunch break, you will decisively intervene to resolve blocking points in ongoing transactions or projects under your responsibility by exchanging with various internal and external stakeholders and agreeing upon concrete and measurable next steps. You will close your day with brainstorming with management on a new strategic initiative and will synthesize the insights of the brainstorming by creating a first-draft presentation.

Your work will directly influence the trajectory of our business, shaping how we deliver resilient guarantee supply to our internal customers. You’ll be embedded in a high-performing, diverse, and globally connected team that thrives on trust, curiosity, and bold thinking.

How You’ll Make an Impact

  • You will independently manage and strengthen the relations with banking partners as first point of contact for Trade Finance Business and make deals in line with our strategic objectives.
  • You will negotiate the terms and conditions of the guarantee facility agreements in line with the mandated and applicable guidelines and in cooperation and coordination with relevant departments (e.g. Legal, Tax, etc.).
  • You will act as governance instance for the regional guarantee departments and ensure that their facility agreements are in line with the applicable guidelines.
  • You will contribute to or lead end-to-end execution of strategic projects with high visibility.
  • You will early identify risks and opportunities and proactively recommend mitigation strategies. In this sense you will act as a trusted Advisor to management, challenging assumptions and driving clarity.
  • You will prepare executive-level presentations and decision documents for management.
  • You will organize and moderate Annual Review Meetings with the banking partners and represent the company in external events.

What You Bring

  • A degree in Business, Finance, Law or equivalent professional accreditation
  • Long-term (min. 5years) relevant experience in negotiations, deal-making, and project Lead, ideally within the Banking sector.
  • Proven strategic mindset with a strong analytical foundation.
  • Proven experience managing complex, multi-stakeholder projects in dynamic environments.
  • Exceptional communication skills in English and relation management skills, with the ability to influence at all levels.
  • A high degree of integrity, discretion, resilience under pressure, as well as a collaborative spirit and the ability to thrive in ambiguity.
  • Flexibility to travel within Europe (less than 10%).
