A Snapshot of Your Day
Working as part of a distributed team, collaborating with colleagues in Germany, India and France, you will design and specify Unit Control Systems, Instrumentation, and Low Voltage Wiring systems which compliment Rotating Machinery used in Industrial Applications - namely compression, power generation and Oil-Gas. Creating design drawings including control panel layout, I/O termination, control panel power distribution, instrumentation installation, motor control schematics, hardwired backup control circuits and single line diagrams.
How You’ll Make an Impact
- Responsible for control system scope of a rotating equipment project together with other project members and content provider, mainly System Engineering
- Design and specify Unit Control Systems, Instrumentation, and Low Voltage Wiring systems which compliment Rotating Machinery used in Industrial Applications - namely compression, power generation and Oil-Gas. Design drawings including P&I diagrams, instrument lists, control logics and description, control panel layout, I/O termination, control panel power distribution, instrumentation installation, motor control schematics, hardwired control circuits
- Incorporate Siemens Energy design standards and guidelines and adapt the assigned scope to meet project-specific requirements, due to Customer Specifications and follow international standard requirements
- Conduct Unit Control panel factory acceptance tests (FAT)
- Monitors and manages the engineering schedule and hours-budget for the assigned scope, including on-time release of deliverables
- Support detail engineering in cooperation with internal and external Customers
- Innovate, creatively apply lessons learned, and implement cost-effective solutions for COMOS PT development, requirements management, that prevent non-conformances during project execution
What You Bring
- Bachelor of Engineering Degree in discipline (Instrumentation/Controls/Electrotechnical), Diploma (State-certified technical engineer) with relevant experience
- 8 years of experience in Rotating Equipment for Oil & Gas, Petrochemical, and other Process Industry applications, achieved through working on Industrial Applications Products in Controls and Instrumentation Engineering
- Experience in Electrical Equipment Engineering welcome
- Application experience with objects-oriented Engineering Software e.g., COMOS PT
- Knowledge and use of software: Teamcenter, SAP, Jira, Microsoft office
- Know-how of standards: API 670 (Machinery Protection System), IEC 60079 (Explosive Atmosphere Standards), IEC 61511: Functional safety - Safety instrumented systems for the process industry sector.
- Proficiency in German and English required
