The Offshore Generator Department is at the forefront of the latest Direct Drive Generator technology, where we utilize our own developed outer rotor, permanent magnet generator. The main design team is based in Brande and is staffed with highly skilled engineers working with state-of-the-art design tools. Furthermore, we have a design team based in Bangalore, India.

For our Generator Technology department, we are looking for a motivated senior electrical engineer, with documented hands-on experience from Generator or large electrical motor design and manufacturing. 

Our team implements new product development projects with the responsibility of all aspects related to generator electrical design. As sourcing in China is a large part of our supply chain, part of your tasks are related to screening and developing new suppliers and sub-suppliers. You will be liaison between Generator department and our supply base in China, supporting on quality topics, changes in specifications and optimizations. 

The candidate will also support our onshore manufacturing in Nantong, with implementing optimized designs and supporting test assemblies.

How to contribute to our vision

• Conduct technical evaluations and screenings of direct suppliers and sub-suppliers

• Support the design teams in implementing engineering solutions at supplier sites

• Collaborate across entire Generator Technology organization to drive component and system-level design and production improvements

• Participate in selecting electrical components, materials, parts and semi-products for generator system design

• Plan and execute test assemblies on part and sub-part level

• Apply practical manufacturing expertise to optimize generator manufacturability and industrialization

• Analyzes localization requirements and designs/adapts products and solutions to support regional supply chains and production needs

• Act as technical interface for key suppliers, ensuring compliance with engineering standards and technical requirements from SGRE

• Build collaboration with suppliers and academia to enhance knowledge on generator system for optimized performance of wind turbines Onshore and Offshore

• Coordinate supplier quality assurance activities with local supplier quality engineers

• Report directly to the head of generator technology in Denmark

• 运用实际制造经验，优化发电机的可制造性与产业化落地能力
• 分析本地化需求，设计并调整产品及解决方案，适配区域供应链与生产布局
• 担任核心供应商的技术对接接口，确保供应商严格遵守西门子歌美飒（SGRE）的工程标准与技术要求
• 与供应商及科研院校建立合作关系，深化发电机系统技术研究，提升陆上及海上风机的运行性能
• 与本地供应商质量工程师协同，统筹推进供应商质量保障相关工作
• 直接向丹麦总部发电机技术部门负责人汇报工作

What you need to make a difference

• At least B.SC or M.Sc. in electrical or mechanical Engineering with min. 10 years of relevant work experience. Typically, within wind turbine industry, electrical machines, or power systems

• Experience in manufacturing is an absolute must, and your technical flair must be visible

In case you have acquired your skills in alternative ways, your application is just as well appreciated.

• Deep technical domain knowledge within turbine electrical drivetrain

• Experience in test and validation of electrical components

• Profound knowledge of electrical insulation systems and validation

• Relevant manufacturing experience and workshop background

• Familiarity with Measurement equipment for test and validation

• Strong technical communication and presentation skills

• Fluent English and Chinese skills both in oral and writing

Traveling should be expected.
