You know the difference between a demo and a product.
As a Senior AI Agent Developer at Siemens Energy’s AI Factory, you’ll implement agent features and integrations that go live in production – APIs, tool-calling workflows, multi-step reasoning chains – inside a company whose technologies help generate an estimated one-sixth of the world’s electricity. Your code won’t sit in a notebook. It will triage engineering emails, assist project managers on multi-billion-euro installations, and help field service teams maintain gas turbines across continents. This is a rare opportunity to truly transform the workplace with AI for thousands of employees & help support them manage the increased workload resulting from record breaking business growth - you’ll help prove that a company with over 150 years of heritage can ship AI faster than most startups.
How You’ll Make an Impact
- Implement agent features and integrations in production codebases – APIs, websockets, tool-calling workflows – following established architecture patterns, no low-code platforms.
- Adapt and integrate pre-trained LLMs and embeddings into applications (prompting, fine-tuning, RAG pipelines) and keep them maintainable, testable, and observable over time.
- Build self-verifying agent workflows with chain-of-verification, evaluator models, and human-in-the-loop escalation paths that make agents trustworthy in enterprise environments.
- Create comprehensive agent observability – full audit trails, structured logging, performance metrics – so the team always knows what agents are doing and why.
- Ship autonomous agents making real business decisions with 95%+ reliability, optimising the balance between reasoning depth, latency, and cost.
- Embed with product teams to evolve agent capabilities based on real usage data, closing the loop between what’s built and what actually works.
What You Bring
- 6–9 years in software engineering with 3+ years in GenAI, building and shipping production systems in enterprise settings.
- Strong proficiency in Python with production deployment experience – you write code that other engineers can maintain, test, and extend.
- Solid AWS knowledge (CDK, Serverless, Bedrock) with production deployment experience; familiarity with other cloud platforms is a plus.
- Hands-on experience with LLM providers and frameworks: Azure OpenAI, AWS Bedrock, Hugging Face, LangChain/LangGraph – and the judgment to know when to use a framework vs. build custom.
- Deep expertise in agent frameworks (LangGraph, AutoGen, CrewAI) combined with the ability to build custom orchestration when off-the-shelf doesn’t cut it.
- University degree or equivalent experience in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field.

Our Gas Services division offers Low-emission power generation through service and decarbonization. Zero or low emission power generation and all gas turbines under one roof, steam turbines and generators. Decarbonization opportunities through service offerings, modernization, and digitalization of the fleet.
