A Snapshot of Your Day
Your day as a Production Planner at Siemens Energy is filled with chances to create impactful decisions. You will start your day by reviewing and adjusting the production schedules according to customer orders, material status, and production capacity. Your outstanding planning skills will ensure that our production processes run flawlessly, meeting our ambitious targets. You will collaborate closely with various teams, including production, project management, and quality functions, encouraging a culture of inclusivity and collaboration. Your work will significantly contribute to our mission to provide balanced and reliable energy solutions.
How You’ll Make an Impact
Schedule and adjust production plans based on customer orders, forecasts, materials status, and production capacity.
Monitor production timelines, sequences, and outputs to ensure material supply matches the production plan, avoiding missing parts and overstocking.
Balance production capacity and project demand, optimizing labor, materials, and processes.
Handle production orders in the system, including release, adjustment, and closure.
Maintain close communication with production, project management, operations, warehouse, engineering, and quality functions to ensure the production plan is fulfilled, responding quickly to any disturbances.
Analyze production output and missing parts data, supporting long-term capacity extension and supplier capacity expansion.
Prepare planning reports to aid departmental and management decision-making.
Continuously improve operations, growing efficiency and quality through automation and digitalization technologies and tools.
Coordinate quality issue handling from the production line, maintaining a strict focus on quality.
Successfully implement temporary tasks as defined by the department manager.
What You Bring
More than three years of experience in a Production, Planning, and Control (PMC) environment, with at least two years in production planning or material management.
Proven experience with ERP systems (SAP/SO, PP, MM modules).
Expertise in digital systems (MES, LES, PES, APS) and office applications like VBA, Access, Query SQL, Power BI, Tableau, RDA/RPA.
Strong background in production planning, including supply processing, monitoring, strategy execution, and analysis.
Experience in project management, lean/agile supply chain management, and continuous improvement.
Ability to work effectively in a multicultural environment and previous experience working abroad is a plus.
Outstanding analytical skills and attention to detail, with a dedication to achieving world-class performance.
