The role is Operations Manager for the Grid Technologies (Transmission) Products business in Australia.

As a leader in the energy transition, Siemens Energy offers a first-class portfolio of products and solutions across HVDC transmission, high voltage switchgears and transformers, grid stabilization and storage, and digital grid technologies.

This pivotal role involves leading and mentoring the Grid Technologies Products execution team, with a focus on enhancing tools, processes, whilst developing the team. Operationally you play a crucial role in supporting between the business areas including Products, Digital Grid, Storage, Service, and Grid Stability.

You will play a crucial role in driving success for Siemens Energy and its customers. Your primary objective will be to ensure effective operational execution, thereby securing future orders and contracts.

How You’ll Make an Impact

• Operations Manager for the Grid Technologies products business in Australia reporting to the Head of Grid Technologies Sales Australia.
• Leading a dedicated team of Project Management Office staff.
• Develops and implements KPIs for the operational team and drives towards continuous improvement.
• Oversees and guides the execution team with successful project completion according to defined targets, budgets and guidelines.
• Active in developing the culture and behaviours within business.
• Fosters an improvement culture, working with the business to execute initiatives
• Supports in the development and implements PM, PMO and EQS guidelines and processes, and manages respective functional organisation.

What You Bring

• Minimum of 5-10 years’ experience in Project Management
• Product knowledge or experience with High Voltage equipment (switch gears, transformers, etc)
• Leadership experience and proven track record in people management
• In depth contract management experience
• Proven result in complex management roles connected to sales and order execution
• Broad experience in Transmission market
• Experience in different business types, e.g. Products / Systems / Solutions
• Proven capabilities in driving change and building sustainable teams.
