A Snapshot of Your Day

Being responsible for our daily data acquisition operations execution, your day is centered around organizing, technically planning and executing our data acquisition missions. This includes both technical and logistical preparation, accompanying mission execution either remotely or on-site, and overseeing the post-mission handover of equipment and data with our technicians. Insights and feedback from each mission are shared with product development and process improvement teams, helping to identify successes, areas for improvement, and new ideas to drive continuous progress.

How You’ll Make an Impact

  • Plan and execute inspection flights with our multi-sensor system using helicopters and drones, working with aviation partners and service suppliers to optimize customer processes and reduce maintenance costs.
  • Support the entire data handling workflow, ensuring field-acquired data is efficiently prepared for AI analytics processing.
  • Continuously improving mission planning and execution to foster seamless and efficient teamwork among all partners.
  • Qualify, train, and maintain ongoing contact with sensor system operators, conducting and helping define test flight campaigns in close alignment with product development.
  • Execute missions or test flights as a Sensor Operator and provide technical support during mission execution when needed.
  • Oversee and maintain vehicles, equipment, and sensors together with technicians, actively upholding Siemens Energy’s Zero Harm standards.

What You Bring

  • A degree in Electrical, Mechatronics, IT, Aviation, or similar, with several years of experience in project execution, especially in mission design and execution within industrial field service, military, or similar environments.
  • Proficiency in GIS-based flight planning software such as QGIS; programming and debugging skills are a strong advantage.
  • Experience working in fast-moving, volatile environments, demonstrating improvisation, ownership, and quick decision-making under uncertainty.
  • Ability and willingness to participate in utility patrol helicopter flights; experience or certificates in aerial thermography, EASA CPL(H), and powerline patrol or helicopter operations are a major plus.
  • Fluent English language skills and willingness to travel internationally, including short-term stays in North America; German language skills are preferred.
  • Category B driving license, valid EU passport, and willingness to travel up to 25%.
