A Snapshot of your day

As an Operational Safety Rules Manager at Siemens Energy, you will play a crucial role in ensuring the implementation and consistency to operational safety rules and regulations within our organization! You will work closely with various departments to develop and maintain safety protocols, conduct training programs, and coordinate compliance with industry standards and best practices.

How you'll make an impact

  • Develop, implement, and maintain high voltage safety rules and procedures
  • Ensure regular safety audits and inspections are conducted to identify potential hazards and ensure compliance with safety laws
  • Collaborate with engineering and maintenance teams to ensure high voltage equipment is accurately maintained and operated
  • Provide training and mentorship to employees on high voltage safety protocols and standard processes
  • Stay up-to-date with industry standards and regulations related to high voltage safety and implement vital changes to company policies and procedures
  • Investigate and analyze safety incidents or near misses and develop strategies to prevent future occurrences
  • Act as a liaison with regulatory agencies and industry organizations to ensure compliance with safety standards
  • Ensure adequate training facilities and materials are available to support the application of safety rules
  • Chair the Safety Rules Committee Meetings and report back to the Business Manager
  • Serve as a point of contact for all Safety Action Plans (SAPs) within the business as a point of escalation

What you bring

  • A qualified degree or equivalent experience in electrical engineering, occupational safety, or a related field is required.
  • Experience in UK high voltage safety management, preferably in an industrial or utility setting
  • Certification in high voltage safety or a related field is preferred
  • In-depth knowledge of high voltage safety laws, codes, and standards
  • Strong leadership and communication skills
  • Ability to work collaboratively with multi-functional teams
