A Snapshot of Your Day
As part of our Fleet Performance and Solutions Americas team, you will be responsible for supporting a range of exciting and challenging projects that will allow you to develop your skills and make a real impact in the power generation industry. You will play a vital role in supporting the overall Generator Service Engineering organization, which has a broad scope of responsibility, including order execution, negotiations, and service R&D for an operating fleet of large utility generators. Your day will be filled with diverse tasks, including resolving fleet operational issues, performing detailed root cause investigations, and driving engineering studies.
How You’ll Make an Impact
- Conduct root cause analyses to address quality issues and drive continuous improvement in generator performance.
- Support commercial teams by performing fleet studies, lifecycle assessments, and maintaining strong customer communication to ensure satisfaction.
- Lead sophisticated engineering evaluations, including generator capability assessments and uprate studies, influencing future advancements in power generation.
- Analyze operating data to diagnose forced outages and supervise generator health, enhancing service offerings and reliability.
- Champion digitalization efforts within Generator Service Engineering, promoting innovation and technological advancement across the team.
- Provide timely field support and solutions to customer issues, with opportunities to travel globally (5–15%) for collaboration and onsite engagement.
What You Bring
- A Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience in mechanical engineering
- Five years’ experience in the power generation industry or more preferred
- Preferred experience in turbogenerator design, analysis, or maintenance, with a strong foundation in technical problem-solving and decision-making.
- Excellent communication and presentation skills, with the ability to interface effectively with customers, field teams, internal partners, and management.
- Strong project management capabilities, able to independently handle multiple projects and deadlines while contributing to a collaborative and innovative team environment.
- Applicants must be legally authorized for employment in the United States without need for current or future employer-sponsored work authorization. Siemens Energy employees with current visa sponsorship may be eligible for internal transfers.

Our Gas Services division offers Low-emission power generation through service and decarbonization. Zero or low emission power generation and all gas turbines under one roof, steam turbines and generators. Decarbonization opportunities through service offerings, modernization, and digitalization of the fleet.
