役割について
The position is to provide maintenance to large turbines, generators, and auxiliary systems in the field. The position requires 80%+ travel to power plant sites internationally. The daily activities include leading and directing technicians, supervisors and subcontractors to do the necessary tasks to serve the equipment, while assuring quality and technical procedures are followed. You will attend site meetings with customers/subcontractors to coordinate these tasks. You will be expected to communicate status and lessons-learned to the back-office engineering and management on a consistent basis. You must have a mechanical background and be able to read drawings and schematics necessary for the maintenance of the equipment. Specializing in different frames is possible over the time.
How You’ll Make an Impact
- Direct teams of field service engineers, technicians and craft labor personnel in the installation, repair maintenance and troubleshooting of combustion turbines, steam turbines and generators at various customer sites.
- Coordinate and manage staffing of project team at customer sites.
- Provide combustion turbine knowledge and expertise to division management, customer management, product line management and suppliers.
- Implement scope according with Siemens Energy field service procedures.
- Coordinate with Siemens Energy engineering department to solve service issues on site.
- Review and execute customer contract requirements.
- Prepare and forward accurate reports concerning the condition and repairs and recommendations for customer equipment.
- Responsibility to comply and / or enforce the protocols, policies, guidelines, and competencies of the current integral management system (EHS, Quality).
What You Bring
- Bachelor of Science degree in Mechanical Engineering or related field.
- 5+ years of experience as a mechanical field service engineer.
- Technical knowledge on combustion turbine, steam turbines, electrical generators and associated auxiliary systems
- Teamwork, results-oriented, risk management, adaptability and flexibility in an environment with changing requirements and priorities
- Proficient computer skills (Microsoft Office and ability to learn others as needed)
- Flexibility and willingness for domestic and international travel 80%.
- Working proficiency in English (both verbal and written)
