A Snapshot of Your Day
This role is a replacement to ensure business continuity for the Head of Sales in the Grid Technologies division for the Europe region. The position is critical for supporting the regional leadership in achieving strategic objectives related to market expansion and profitability. To address this, the role is structured around three core areas: strategic development, operational sales coordination, and performance analysis. This involves shaping regional growth initiatives, acting as a key interface between business units and sales teams, and managing the operational sales planning and reporting processes. Given the focus on strategic and operational support, the ideal candidate will possess a degree in engineering or equivalent experience, coupled with several years in sales or bid management within the technical capital equipment sector. Essential skills include strategic thinking, proficiency in CRM systems like Salesforce, and strong analytical capabilities to drive sales performance in the T&D market.
How You’ll Make an Impact
- Develop and drive regional strategic growth initiatives, including vertical sales development, portfolio pushes, and pricing enhancements
- Coordinate the development and implementation of the regional sales strategy in alignment with Execution Units, Functions, and the Siemens Energy Hub Europe
- Act as the primary interface between regional sales areas and business units to align objectives with regional sales planning
- Provide day-to-day support to the Head of Sales and sub-regional/country organizations by facilitating clarifications and resolving issues
- Harmonize and manage operational sales reviews, reporting structures, and pipeline analysis using CRM tools (Salesforce)
- Coordinate recurring sales planning processes, including order intake planning, sales target agreements, and market intelligence updates
- Champion a 'safety first' culture by consistently demonstrating and promoting safe working practices in all activities
- Ensure all sales-related processes and activities comply with organizational and regulatory safety requirements
What You Bring- Bachelor's degree in mechanical or electrical engineering, or equivalent professional experience
- Several years of experience in sales, bid management, or operational execution for technical capital equipment and solutions
- Demonstrated experience with sales planning, business forecasting, and CRM utilization (e.g., Salesforce)
- Strong understanding of the Transmission & Distribution (T&D) market, including customer behaviors and business models
