We are seeking an Engineering Manager to lead all engineering activities for the High Voltage (HV) Substation business. The role is responsible for ensuring the safe, cost-effective, and high-quality design and execution of substation projects from concept through commissioning. The successful candidate will lead a multidisciplinary engineering team, interface with customers and key stakeholders, support business development, and drive innovation and continuous improvement.

How You’ll Make an Impact

• Lead the design and engineering of HV substations rated 110 kV and above, covering primary, secondary, protection, control, SCADA, and automation systems.
• Ensure engineering deliverables comply with IEC, IEEE, national grid standards, regulatory requirements, and customer specifications.
• Review and approve technical drawings, single-line diagrams, protection and control schemes, and general arrangement layouts.
• Coordinate civil, electrical, mechanical, protection, procurement, construction, and project management teams to deliver integrated solutions.
• Provide technical guidance during installation, testing, and commissioning.
• Manage, mentor, and develop the engineering team, including performance management, skills development, and resource allocation.
• Align engineering schedules and deliverables with overall project timelines, budgets, and quality requirements.
• Implement quality assurance and control processes for engineering outputs.
• Support tender and bid activities by reviewing specifications, developing technical proposals, and estimating engineering hours.
• Act as the technical point of contact for customers, suppliers, partners, and regulatory authorities.
• Drive value engineering, innovation, and continuous-improvement initiatives to optimize cost, performance, and competitiveness.

What You Bring

• Bachelor’s or master’s degree in Electrical Engineering; specialization in power systems is preferred.
• At least 10 years of experience in power transmission or distribution projects.
• Proven experience leading engineering teams within EPC, utility, or major infrastructure projects.
• Strong expertise in primary and secondary design for HV substations, including AIS and GIS technologies.
• Strong knowledge of protection and control systems, SCADA, and substation automation.
• Working knowledge of relevant engineering software, such as ETAP, DIgSILENT, AutoCAD, or EPLAN.
• Demonstrated leadership and people-management capabilities, with the ability to motivate and develop teams.
• Fluent English and excellent communication, stakeholder-management, and relationship-building skills.
• Ability to manage multiple projects and priorities under tight deadlines.
• Strategic and commercially aware, with a hands-on approach and a continuous-improvement mindset.
