A Snapshot of Your Day
As an Engineer, Control Systems Programming at Siemens Energy, you will begin your day with a briefing on ongoing projects and new tasks. Your role involves crafting and testing control system hardware and software, ensuring they meet our world-class standards. You will collaborate with an exceptionally dedicated team, contributing to Siemens Energy’s mission of balanced energy transformation. How You’ll Make an Impact
- Crafting PLC projects and programming according to engineering documents.
- Commissioning control panels in our workshop.
- Testing project control system hardware and software to ensure they meet client specifications.
- Conducting customer acceptance tests and Modbus communication tests worldwide.
- Reviewing and verifying controls engineering project specifications.
- Supporting the proposal engineering team in crafting customer offers.
What You Bring
- Bachelor or Master of Engineering degree in Automation/Instrumentation/Controls/Electro-technical, or a State-certified technical engineering diploma.
- Min. 5 years of professional experience (rotating equipment industry will be an advantage)
- Knowledge of Control Theory and industry-standard software like PCS7 V9.1 and/or RSLogix 5000.
- Experience in writing PLC programs and embedded applications in higher programming languages.
- Familiarity with planning PLC projects (especially in turbomachinery or oil & gas applications – would be an advantage)
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills with proficiency in English.
- Ability to travel internationally (around 20% annually)
- Initial experience in technical and organizational team management is an advantage.
