A Snapshot of Your Day 

As part of our global engineering testing organization, you will lead the global Department Site Measurements for product validation, responsible for executing R&D testing on new developments and on-site field measurement campaigns for new equipment, service applications, and special task forces.
You will provide strategic and operational leadership to a globally distributed organization of project managers, testing engineers, and technicians located in Germany, the United States, and Hungary. Your teams plans and conduct critical testing & validation campaigns on large power train products such as gas turbines, steam turbines, generators, and other Siemens Energy products, using state-of-the-art instrumentation, data acquisition and analyzing systems.

The data generated by your organization delivers key insights for R&D product validation and service activities and directly supports engineering decision-making across the company. Based on operational experience and future needs, you will continuously drive the strategic evolution of testing methodologies, technologies, and capabilities.
You define the department’s long-term vision and translate it into a clear strategy, positioning Site Measurements as a trusted, best-in-class testing partner for internal and external customers. You ensure the highest standards of technical execution, safety, and quality, while aligning departmental activities with the broader objectives of the Engineering and Gas Services divisions. In doing so, you foster a culture of excellence, accountability, and continuous improvement and ensure that all measurement projects are executed efficiently, reliably, and on time.

How You’ll Make an Impact 
  • Lead and develop a high-performing global testing and validation organization across multiple international locations
  • Define and execute the long-term departmental strategy, capability roadmap, and technology evolution
  • Drive resource planning, budget responsibility, and capital investment for testing infrastructure and assets
  • Oversee complex site measurement campaigns and ensure timely, high-quality project execution
  • Shape and implement R&D projects for advanced measurement technologies and AI-driven digitalization initiatives
  • Ensure compliance with safety, quality, and regulatory standards while fostering a culture of excellence and continuous improvement 
What You Bring
  • Degree in Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or a related technical field, with strong expertise in turbomachinery systems
  • Longstanding leadership experience in engineering, testing, or validation environments, preferably in complex industrial sectors
  • Proven track record in leading global, multidisciplinary teams in a technical management role
  • Deep knowledge of measurement technologies, instrumentation, data acquisition, and validation methodologies
  • Excellent communication, strong strategic thinking, and the ability to effectively collaborate with senior stakeholders in a global environment, combined with execution excellence, budget responsibility, and operational accountability
  • Fluency in English and German
