A Snapshot of Your Day

The Data Science Summer Intern will, be a part of the Siemens Energy Innovation Department Resilient Grids and Reliability team. You will be responsible for contributing to the development of an IT software tool for optimizing transmission grid study workflows. You will attend coordination meetings, performing research, contribute solution design, product testing and reporting!

How You’ll Make an Impact

  • Development of an algorithmic solutions for dynamic network order reduction for high order calculations while working in a team environment
  • Developing algorithms for pre-processing of data
  • Testing and ranking of statistical correlation algorithms
  • Delivery and integration of software coding for the network reduction application

What You Bring

  • Currently enrolled to graduate with your Bachelors/Masters Degree in Computer Science, Data Science or related
  • Strong analytical, problem-solving skills and ability to work well in a team environment
  • Strong qualitative and quantitative analysis, with ability to identify and articulate both challenges and opportunities
  • Experience with Matlab /Simulink® mathematical modeling software and python coding skills
  • Applicants must have a minimum of a 3.2 GPA and have relevant prior work experience
