A Snapshot of Your Day

Being a Commercial Project Manager Support is a multi-functional job within the FIN arena. Your tasks are cost controlling, revenue recognition, project reporting, correct financial accounting according to internal and external rules, taxes etc. But you should be also aware of potential risks as well as opportunities, and you know how to manage them. Hence, you should have a clear understanding of the contractual requirements. Does it sound overwhelming or like a chance to grow? We have an established team and trainers that will help you to manage the requirements. You will work closely together with the Commercial Managers and Team in the HQ and will contribute to the overall, success of the project. One thing is for sure, tasks will recur, but no day will be like the other.

How You’ll Make an Impact

  • Be part of the overall project team and oversee and plan the overall project financial performance, provide insight commercial/financial analysis and improve/stabilize project result together with project manager and in close alignment and support of the HQ –Commercial Project Manager.
  • Plan business project key figures (sales, costs, quantities, results, services, etc.) for short, medium, long-term periods and coordinate them with the project management. Control the planning process, coordinate planning steps, monitor, analyze and comment on planning results. Helping to shape business goals and strategies, defining, and coordinating sub-goals. Estimate influencing factors.
  • Support the development & analysis of project business data to facilitate decision making and customer negotiation, such as revenue/cost analysis, risk/opportunity analysis, business result optimization etc.
  • Monitor the achievement of planning, show the degree of target achievement per point in time, analyze and comment on deviations, propose and initiate adjustment measures if necessary. Track effectiveness, control actual expectations, plan comparisons. Create early warning reports.
  • Ensures accuracy of project books and records; support prepare commercial documentation for regular project status meetings.
  • Streamline and improve the structures and business processes within your area of work.
  • Be responsible for the up-to-date data in the project Management systems such as PMTX and Project Dash.
  • Handling of delegation and respective invoicing (TFA).
  • Manage Accruals and Risks.
  • Ensure proper SOA and IFRS controlling and documents.
  • Support of the commercial project manager in all commercial and legal issues with the elaboration and further development of project-specific solutions. Plan financing aspects (e.g. cash flow, terms of payment, contractual penalties) as well as legal, tax and insurance issues.)

What You Bring 

  • You are a real team player who likes working together with customers and cross-disciplinary colleagues- eager to learn new things.
  • You have a bachelor’s degree in business administration / finance or equivalent.
  • Minimum Professional Experience: 1 to 3 years
  • Experience in Cost controlling, KPI forecasting, project reporting, working with SAP and correspondence with external partners belongs to your daily work.
  • You know how to prioritize simultaneous requests.
  • You speak English fluently, German desirable.
  • General IFRS Accounting Concepts; Tax, Cost Accounting, Statutory Accounting (CPC)
  • It is a benefit if you have gained already professional experience in international project business.
