We are seeking a passionate and driven Materials Engineer to join our team in the renewable energy sector. The ideal candidate will play a crucial role in leading change and driving innovation in materials engineering, particularly in the development and testing of materials for renewable energy applications.

How You’ll Make an Impact

Conduct characterization of materials and manage test execution, ensuring compliance with industry standards.

Develop and implement structured approaches to material qualification and testing processes.

Analyze material properties and performance, focusing on mechanics of materials and failure analysis.

Define material requirements towards blade design, ensuring compliance with certification requirements.

Collaborate with internal and external stakeholders to manage multiple assignments effectively.

Communicate findings and results clearly and convincingly to diverse audiences.

What You Bring

Master's degree or PhD in materials engineering, mechanical engineering, aerospace engineering or a related field.

Solid knowledge of materials mechanics, with experience in materials characterization, testing and failure analysis.

Understanding of certification processes and testing methodologies for components and substructures.

Experience in the wind, aerospace or automotive industries is beneficial, but not mandatory.

Proficiency in working with metallic and plastic materials, including their properties, design and construction.

Excellent communication skills in English, being able to present complex information clearly.

About the Team

The Blade Materials Team is responsible for innovation and development of new materials, and the development and maintenance of technical requirement specifications. We help establish the engineering characteristics for composite laminates, adhesives, metals and plastics, creating the consolidation for material approvals and establishment of design values.
