A Snapshot of Your Day
As an intern at Siemens Energy Asia Pacific Regional Accounting Hub, you will support monthly closing activities, prepare journal vouchers, and assist in financial statement reviews. You'll work closely with the Business Commercial team by providing accounting advisory, support audit processes, and take part in departmental events. This role offers hands-on exposure to IFRS standards and practical accounting operations in a dynamic, international environment.
How You’ll Make an Impact
- Support the Asia Pacific Regional Accounting Hub in monthly closing activities, including preparation of journal vouchers.
- Participate and support the Regional Accounting Hub in provision of accounting advisory to the Business Commercial team.
- Assist in preparation of financial statement review and follow-up on action items.
- Assist Hub Accountants in audit activities (internal and external).
- Opportunities to prioritize department events/meetings.
- Support other ad-hoc requirement/tasks.
What You Bring
- Final or special year student pursuing a Degree or equivalent experience in Accounting or Accounting-Related Professional Qualification (e.g., ACCA, ICAEW, CIMA, CPA).
- Possesses basic knowledge of IFRS Accounting Standard (e.g., revenue recognition, provision & accrual) and book-keeping.
- CGPA of at least 3.50 (for degree) or completed Fundamental ACCA papers (or equivalent).
- An outstanding teammate and quick learner.
- Self-motivated, possesses analytical skills and ability to adapt to change.
- Someone who thrives in an international environment and possesses good communication and English skills, both orally and in writing.
- Able to contribute to this internship for at least 3-6 months.
