A Snapshot of Your Day
As Technology & Regulations Analyst within Portfolio & Business Strategy at Siemens Energy’s Transformation of Industry (TI) business area, you will work in a dedicated team under the guidance of the Markets & Partnerships Lead and bridge the gap between technological advancements, industry regulations, and strategic decision-making. You’ll monitor a broad range of energy technologies and evaluate the regulatory landscape to ensure Siemens Energy stays ahead in its portfolio and business strategies.
How You’ll Make an Impact
- Evaluate emerging energy technologies, including renewable electricity and heat, hydrogen and e-fuels, carbon capture, storage and usage, energy storage solutions, and industrial electrification, to identify opportunities for Siemens Energy’s portfolio
- Monitor global and regional energy regulations, analyzing their potential impact on TI business strategies, product development, and market positioning
- Provide technical guidance on regulatory compliance, helping cross-functional teams navigate complex standards and policy requirements
- Provide technical benchmarking reports and insights to R&D and engineering teams to align technology roadmaps with regulatory and industry trends
- Deliver reports and presentations on relevant technology innovation and regulatory changes, enabling informed strategic decisions
- Represent Siemens Energy TI as needed in discussions with industry bodies, standardization bodies, regulators, and policy makers
- Contribute to building a knowledge hub and establish external partnerships to stay at the cutting edge of technology and regulatory developments
What You Bring
- Master’s degree in Science, Engineering, Energy Systems, or a related technical discipline. Advanced degrees are a plus
- Minimum 5-7 years of experience in technical roles, technology assessments, regulatory analysis, or similar roles within the energy industry
- Strong technical knowledge and broad experience related to energy systems, renewable energy and decarbonization technologies, and emerging trends in industrial applications
- Deep understanding of regulatory environments, including compliance requirements and policy frameworks in EU and US markets
- Proficiency in English for technical documentation, verbal and written communication, and policy engagement
- Analytical and detail-oriented mindset, coupled with excellent organizational and project management skills
- Proactive and collaborative mindset, with the ability to work across diverse teams and geographies
- Willingness to travel
