A Snapshot of Your Day

In this role at Siemens Energy, you will be the key technical liaison for our customers, ensuring their needs are met with outstanding service and solutions. You'll tackle various tasks aimed at supporting the A65 fleet and communicate effectively to address and resolve technical issues. Your day will include collaborating with different teams, authoring technical documents, and ensuring that our services maintain their world-class standards.

How You’ll Make an Impact

• Serve as the primary technical contact for the customer, ensuring flawless communication and support from Siemens Energy’s technical network.
• Investigate and determine solutions for issues affecting the safety, reliability, and availability of the A65 fleet. Define the scope and intervals for planned maintenance, review necessary parts, and communicate modification definitions.
• Author and communicate Service Bulletins, Technical Instructions, and Diagnostic Reports to address fleet issues and maintenance.
• Collaborate with regional teams and operational support desks to tackle complex or specialist issues. Ensure effective communication of technical risks and solutions impacting the A65 fleet to the customer and internal collaborators.
• Maintain accountability for defining and recording on-site maintenance and modifications, supporting the Management of Change (MOC) process.
• Coordinate inspection test plans, borescope report reviews, and project reporting requirements including critical metrics and maintenance records. Provide technical input for unplanned maintenance, including trips and failed starts, and generate remote diagnostic reports.

What You Bring 

• Typically, minimum of 10 years of successful field service / commissioning / technical support experience related to aeroderivative gas turbines of all designs, A65 experience is preferred. Any experience with centrifugal compressors would also be beneficial but not mandatory.
• Experience in commissioning and working in a Field Service environment is essential to this role.
• An engineering degree is required preferably in Mechanical Engineering.
• Excellent customer facing communication skills are a must in being a successful candidate.

Our Gas Services division offers Low-emission power generation through service and decarbonization. Zero or low emission power generation and all gas turbines under one roof, steam turbines and generators.  Decarbonization opportunities through service offerings, modernization, and digitalization of the fleet.
