Join us as a Technical Outage Manager (m/f/d) and take the lead in planning, coordinating, and executing complex outages with precision. Imagine being the main contact person during these critical times, ensuring that all activities are conducted safely, on schedule, within budget, and to the highest quality standards.

You will collaborate with a diverse team of experts, acting as a trusted partner for all stakeholders involved.

Your proven experience in power plant revisions and project management will be essential as you navigate the challenges and opportunities that come with this pivotal role

 

How You Can Make an Impact

  • You will be responsible for the overall planning, execution, and support of projects both domestically and internationally, ensuring alignment with customer-specific requirements and economic considerations.
  • Collaborate with the responsible Project Manager to define and coordinate the budget and schedule, taking on budget responsibility for on-site activities including personnel, tools, and consumables.
  • Be present on-site during outages, overseeing site coordination, logistics, activity recording, and claim management.
  • Act as the primary contact for customers and stakeholders on-site, managing various relationships and ensuring effective communication.
  • Lead technical customer meetings and report progress in coordination with the project manager, ensuring transparency and alignment.
  • Monitor for weaknesses or deviations in contractual scope or schedule, initiating corrective actions and supporting change management efforts
 

What You Bring 

  • You have proven experience in technical project management and extensive site experience, ideally as a site manager or TSM on-site.
  • Your expertise in engineering, complemented by a degree in engineering or as a technician, gives you comprehensive knowledge of steam turbines, gas turbines, or generators and their auxiliary systems.
  • You possess a strong understanding of outage processes, practical field experience in executing complex outages, and excellent leadership and communication skills.
  • Familiarity with project management, contract and claim management, as well as EHS and QSM standards, is desirable.
  • Proficiency in MS Project, MS Office applications, and SAP, along with experience in Polaris, eFRW, and Siemens Detailed Planning (SDP) is nice to have.
  • You have an excellent command English, both written and spoken; knowledge of an additional foreign language is a plus.
 

About the Team

You will be part of a highly skilled team of additional five Technical Outage Managers within the Planning & Implementation team which consists of more than 50 Technical Service Managers in Europe and Africa. The team is working globally and is committed to planning and executing outages safely, in a good quality and time.
