A Snapshot of Your Day
Join our dynamic Procurement & Logistics finance team as a Student Worker, where you will play a crucial role in ensuring the seamless processing and analysis of financial and operational data. Imagine leveraging your SQL skills within the Snowflake platform to extract and transform large datasets from SAP, preparing them for insightful analysis. You will tackle data inconsistencies, optimize processes, and support the development of data models, all while working independently on technical tasks that drive our mission forward. Your contributions will not only enhance our efficiency but also empower our finance team to make informed decisions.
How You’ll Make an Impact
- You will develop SQL queries in Snowflake supported by Cortex AI tool to extract and transform data, ensuring it meets the needs of the finance and controlling teams.
- Combine and structure large datasets, troubleshooting inconsistencies and implementing corrective actions in data pipelines.
- Optimize and automate data extraction and transformation processes to enhance efficiency and reliability.
- Support the development and maintenance of data models for reporting and analytical purposes, responding to ad-hoc data requests from stakeholders.
What You Bring
- Currently enrolled in a Bachelor’s or Master’s program in Data Science, Computer Science, Engineering, IT, Mathematics, or a similar technical field.
- Demonstrated experience with SQL is mandatory, with prior experience in data platforms like Snowflake being a strong advantage.
- Strong foundation in data transformation (ETL/ELT) and data modeling, along with database management skills.
- Proficiency in Python and Power BI is a plus.
- A keen analytical mindset, attention to detail, and the ability to work independently on technical tasks.
About the team
You will be part of an international, highly engaged team of experienced finance professionals, mainly based in Brande but with satellites in the USA, Mexico, Brazil, and Germany. The team works closely with the supply chain business, combining finance and supply chain data to support collaboration. You will work alongside team members who have many years of experience with the data and will be mentored by a controller with experience in SQL and beginner/discovery experience with Snowflake.
