We are looking for Strategic Buyer to join our location in Norway! 

  

A Snapshot of Your Day 
As a Strategic Buyer, you’ll dive into the exciting world of procurement, bringing our corporate strategies to life in a hands-on way. You’ll choose suppliers based on solid metrics, ensuring that our internal customers and partners have what they need to thrive. You’ll be part of a dynamic team across Europe that embodies a “can-do” spirit, where everyone pitches in to support one another. 

Your role will involve tackling daily challenges and creating real value for our factories and customers. At the same time, you’ll collaborate with global commodity management teams and our Business Optimization Process (BPO) partners to drive long-term improvements and innovative projects. Get ready to become a go-to expert in executing strategies, speeding up processes, and enhancing supply chain performance! 

 

How You will Make an Impact 

  • You prepare and conduct RfX’s and tenders, as well as the offer analysis up to contract drafting and negotiation for local or regional suppliers  
  • Alignment calls and meetings with the Global Commodity Management and BPO Provider  
  • Adopt Global Framework Agreements to local needs  
  • You are responsible for approving Purchase Requisitions and / or Orders within your area of responsibility  
  • You ensure ordering processes to stay compliant with internal and external requirements and compliance guidelines and take care for the continuous optimization of the processes.  
  • Be responsible for Supplier Relationship Management for local and regional suppliers  
  • The setting of key performance indicators for the control, optimization and planning of the purchasing business as well as the local and cross-location optimization of our commodities are also part of your tasks.  
  • By regular participation in working groups as well as permanent communication with your cross-functional partners and internal customers, you ensure permanent exchange of information and early involvement.  
  • You represent the team to internal stakeholders, ensuring alignment and understanding of progress.  
  • You will be the point of contact for all (indirect) procurement topics and proactively ensure the teams information flow for Norway and Finland as well as for selected other countries.  
  • Ensure and implement Governance topics. 

 

What You Bring 

  • University degree in commercial specialization or alternatively a commercial apprenticeship in conjunction with relevant professional experience.  
  • You have several years of relevant experience in procurement functions.  
  • You have profound specialist knowledge in the field of purchasing, ideally purchasing indirect materials and services, including experience in the application of negotiation techniques.  
  • Very good knowledge of contracting local law. 
  • Proficiency language with excellent written and oral communication skills in Norwegian and English.  
  • You have advanced MS Office365 applications skills and experience in SAP would be a plus.
