A Snapshot of Your Day
As a Solution Owner in our Low Voltage Electrical department in Brande, you’ll combine meaningful design work with close collaboration. You’ll own the low voltage auxiliary system for our wind turbines, designing and configuring control cabinets, cables, sensors, and other key electrical components. You’ll work with a dedicated project team of about 10 people located in Denmark, Spain, and India. Operating with an agile mindset, you’ll support design engineers to deliver high-quality, efficient electrical solutions. Your role includes frequent contact with suppliers and production to ensure practical, safe, and cost-effective solutions that work in the field. With a focus on end-to-end thinking, safety, and commercial viability, your work will directly impact the performance and reliability of our wind energy products.
How You'll Make an Impact
- Evaluate the complete electrical system and break it down into manageable sub-tasks, specifying and creating precise work packages.
- Lead the detailed design and configuration of LV auxiliary systems, including control cabinets, cables, and sensors within your area of responsibility.
- Develop and maintain comprehensive technical documentation to support your designs.
- Provide specialized technical support and troubleshooting related to the auxiliary electrical systems.
- Drive continuous development and improvement of processes, documentation, and design methods to ensure efficient, best-practice electrical system designs and interfaces.
- Conduct thorough technical risk assessments and Failure Mode and Effect Analysis (FMEA) to mitigate potential issues.
- Collaborate closely with multidisciplinary project teams and suppliers to deliver safe, cost-effective, and high-quality solutions.
What You Bring
We look for a person who has background in electrical engineering, and you are experienced as electrical lead for technical complex systems. Additionally, you are familiar with the following:
- A bachelor or master degree in Electrical Engineering, or a related technical field such as marine engineering with electrical design experience or equivalent experience.
- 5+ years of proven experience, ideally as an electrical lead on technically complex systems.
- Solid knowledge of design and manufacturing processes related to electrical cabinets, LV cables, and busbar systems.
- Experience with international standards and guidelines for cabinet design, such as IEC 61439 series and IEC 60204-1.
- Proficiency with tools such as SEE Electrical, Teamcenter, and Jira.
- Understanding of system engineering methods such as RDS-PP.
- Experience working in a company environment with coordination between suppliers and production.
Soft Skills:
- Structured and innovative approach to task solving, balancing technical accuracy with commercial viability.
- Ability to interface and communicate effectively at all organizational levels in a dynamic environment.
- Strong communication skills in English, both written and spoken.
About the Team
You will join a collaborative team of about 10 professionals based primarily in Denmark, working closely with colleagues in Spain and India. The team consists of Product Owners and Solution Owners, where the Solution Owner acts as the system technical owner. We are currently at an exciting point, having just completed a significant product unity, and now gearing up for new projects that will have an important impact on the future of wind energy. The team adopts an agile approach, working in dedicated project teams, and is committed to crafting solutions that matter for the next generation.
