A Snapshot of Your Day

In this role, you ensure the stability and accuracy of the measurement systems that power our wind turbine testing. Your day involves developing new software features, enhancing existing tools, and securing the data integrity of our measurement platforms. You’ll work independently on complex engineering challenges, collaborate with specialists across Wind Power Technology, and play a critical role in enabling reliable testing results that drive product quality and innovation.

How You’ll Make an Impact

  • Drive the development of new software features and applications for our wind turbine measurement systems, using your experience with Java and/or C# to build reliable and scalable tools
  • Enhance the stability, performance, and scalability of a portfolio of 15 applications by refactoring existing code, improving architectures, and modernizing core components
  • Lead the full software development lifecycle, working closely with engineering stakeholders to translate technical needs into high‑quality software solutions
  • Contribute to the PLC‑based parts of our measurement setup, spending approximately 20% of your time working with Beckhoff and Structured Text to secure smooth integration between software and hardware
  • Maintain clear, structured documentation for system architecture, design patterns, data flows, and release processes, supporting long‑term maintainability
  • Monitor system performance, diagnose complex defects, and proactively implement data validation frameworks that ensure consistent, high‑integrity measurement data

What You Bring

  • A degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related technical discipline
  • Experience as Software Developer, with a proven ability to work independently on large‑scale or technically complex systems
  • Strong technical capabilities across software development, debugging, system architecture, database management, and designing for long‑term maintainability
  • Experience developing software in data‑intensive or engineering‑heavy environments, ideally supporting measurement, test, or automation systems
  • A structured, analytical approach to problem solving, combined with the ability to prioritize and drive solutions without close supervision
  • Familiarity with measurement systems, usability engineering concepts, and data acquisition principles, or a strong motivation to develop deep expertise in these areas
