A Snapshot of Your Day 

Join a dynamic team of Contract Managers at Siemens Gamesa, where you will play a pivotal role in shaping the future of offshore wind power. In this exciting position, you will tackle complex contractual matters, providing essential support to our Wind Power business. You will analyze contracts, identify potential risks, negotiate agreements, and offer strategic advice to project and site management. Your expertise will be crucial in navigating the intricacies of large-scale offshore wind projects, ensuring that company's rights and entitlements are firmly protected.

 

How You’ll Make an Impact

  • Provide expert advice and support on customer contracts and sub-contracts
  • Assist in managing contractual and commercial matters, including change order processes and drafting relevant correspondence.
  • Identify key technical, commercial, and contractual aspects to develop effective project-specific claim strategies.
  • Contribute to the pursuit and defense of claims by gathering and advising on essential project records and documentation.
  • Collaborate with legal teams to substantiate relevant facts for claims, including quantum and extension of time in arbitration proceedings.
 

What You Bring

  • A degree in law or alternatively a technical field, business administration or quantity surveying, complemented by relevant academic or professional qualifications.
  • Extensive experience in contract and claim management, with a strong background in analyzing and drafting contracts for large-scale projects.
  • Familiarity with international EPC and construction contract terms (e.g., FIDIC, Orgalime, NEC, MF1) and experience working in internationally staffed teams.
  • Proficiency in English with the ability to negotiate and draft contractual documents, with the ability to travel nationally and internationally (15-20%).
  • A working knowledge of valuation, including engineering quantification, bills of quantities, unit rates, and project scheduling is a plus.
