Sales Project Manager - Offshore Wind

A Snapshot of Your Day

You will be overall responsible throughout the sales phase for developing compelling solutions and bids in response to customer requests and subsequently for negotiating turbine supply agreements with customers and their external stakeholders / advisors. A critical part of this will be to ensure internal coordination with the global sales organization, including product development, engineering, supply chain, project and contract management teams. You will be instrumental in motivating the project sales team throughout the process and for creating an environment for success in a high-paced and very professional environment.

  • Develop opportunities for assigned projects/accounts as appropriate
  • Develop bid/negotiation strategies
  • Own and drive the project throughout the sales phase
  • Understand customer requirements, ensuring that they are reflected in the solution development
  • Ensure adherence to Siemens Gamesa internal processes
  • Motivate, support and develop a high-performing Sales team
  • Define the plan, setting targets, tracking progress and reporting
  • Deliver timely, competitive and compliant offers to the customer
  • Lead negotiation and conclusion of customer contracts
  • Ensure smooth handover to the project management team after contract signature

What You Bring

  • Holds an academical background in engineering, project management or comparable education
  • 5 years or above extensive professional experience in international project sales, preferably in the (wind) energy industry. You have similar experience of complex sales management in multicultural teams and multi-contracting on large projects with highly professional customers.
  • Excellent contractual understanding, negotiation skills and communication
  • Fluent (speaking, reading, writing) in English
  • Passion for renewable energy and motivation to lead the change. Open to travel and work in a global environment
  • A high degree of accountability and commitment. A team player with customer focus, initiative and assertiveness
  • The ability to motivate team members, engage and manage people
