A Snapshot of Your Day
You orchestrate end‑to‑end data flows that power reliable reporting—from extracting and provisioning S/4HANA data into BW/4HANA, to maintaining master data and hierarchies, to designing performant BW queries and embedded analytics content. You collaborate with data stewards and custodians, monitor process chains, resolve load issues, and ensure authorization and data protection are handled correctly.
How You’ll Make an Impact
- Deliver trusted reporting: Build robust ADSO/Composite Provider models and BW queries that provide business with timely, reconciled information for decision making.
- Modernize analytics in S/4: Leverage embedded analytics (View Browser, Custom CDS Views, Custom Analytical Queries) and integrate with SAC/Analysis for Office where appropriate.
- Industrialize data pipelines: Design and operate ETL/extraction via ODP/ODQ, SLT or Data Services, with automated monitoring, error handling, and delta strategies.
- Safeguard data quality & compliance: Partner with Data Stewards/Custodians to validate loads and enforce security and authorizations throughout migration and steady state operations.
What You Bring
- Data Modeling (BW/4HANA): Design ADSOs, Open ODS Views, Composite Providers and Info Objects; optimize HANA push down and partitions; manage lifecycle via transport/CTS+.
- ETL & Data Provisioning: Define and implement extraction from S/4HANA (CDS based extractors/ODP), configure SLT/replication where needed, and operate scheduled delta loads and process chains.
- Query & Front-End Reporting: Build BW/4HANA queries and KPI models; enable Fiori analytical tiles; create SAC stories or AFO workbooks for curated analytics.
- Data Maintenance: Own master data, hierarchies, and reference tables; establish controls for changes and reconciliation; implement monitoring, alerting, and error log review.
- Performance & Reliability: Profile queries, optimize joints/associations, coaching and aggregation strategies; define SLAs and capacity plans for peak loads.
- Governance & Documentation: Produce specs and runbooks aligned to S4E standards; contribute to analytics design guidelines and best practices.
- Collaboration: Work closely with Data Stewards, Custodians, and template teams across S4E Unify to harmonize KPIs and cross functional reporting.
