A Snapshot of Your Day

This role is being created to lead the local implementation of the S4E global project at the Siemens Gas Turbine Components (SGTC) site in China. As a dedicated Project Manager within the Factory Finance team, this position is essential for ensuring a successful and timely rollout of this critical financial system initiative. To achieve this, the role is structured around three core areas: leading the project management lifecycle, providing subject matter expertise on process integration, and managing stakeholder communications and reporting. This approach ensures that the project is managed effectively from a technical standpoint while remaining fully aligned with the specific financial and operational needs of the SGTC factory. Given the focus on project leadership and financial systems, the ideal candidate will be a recognized subject matter expert with extensive experience managing large-scale system implementations in a manufacturing finance environment. Key requirements include strong capabilities in project management, financial analysis, and stakeholder influence

How You’ll Make an Impact

  • 50% S4E Project Management & Execution
    • Manage the end-to-end project lifecycle for the S4E rollout at the SGTC site, from planning and design to go-live and post-implementation support.
    • Develop and maintain detailed project plans, timelines, and budgets, ensuring alignment with global project standards and local site requirements.
    • Identify, assess, and mitigate project risks and issues, proactively managing dependencies and escalating to senior management as needed.
    • Coordinate and delegate tasks to project team members, including coaching and reviewing the work of lower-level professionals.
  • 30% Financial Process Analysis & System Integration
    • Act as the subject matter expert on SGTC's financial and controlling processes, ensuring the S4E solution meets local business requirements.
    • Analyze existing financial workflows and data structures to map them to the new S4E system, identifying gaps and defining solutions.
    • Oversee data migration activities to ensure data integrity and accuracy throughout the system transition.
    • Lead the design and execution of user acceptance testing (UAT) for all relevant financial modules.
  • 20% Stakeholder Management & Reporting
    • Serve as the primary point of contact between the global S4E project team, local IT resources, and SGTC business stakeholders.
    • Prepare and deliver regular project status reports, financial forecasts, and performance analyses to management and key stakeholders.
    • Develop and deliver training materials and change management communications to ensure smooth user adoption of the new system.

What You Bring

  • Bachelor's or Master's degree in Finance, Accounting, Business Administration, or a related field.
  • Significant experience (typically 8+ years) in financial planning, controlling, or analysis, preferably within a manufacturing or factory environment.
  • Proven experience managing large-scale, complex projects, particularly ERP or financial system implementations (e.g., SAP S/4HANA).
  • Demonstrated ability to work as a subject matter expert with limited oversight, managing difficult and complex problems.
  • Fluent English capability
