Overview

The Project Manager/ PMO will be part of the Rest of World (RoW) Hub Operations (HO) team with Siemens Energy Real Estate. The HO team is responsible for the oversight of all construction, fit out and large maintenance projects throughout China, India, Saudi Arabia and other APAC&MEA countries. The team ensures projects are delivered in compliance with Siemens Energy standards, on time, and within budget. This person must have a construction background, with project management experience and a strong ability to communicate with internal and external partners. Working with external vendors and internal stakeholders, you will direct numerous projects within RoW establishing scope, project planning, procurement, contracting, methodology for overseeing construction works, project budgets and schedules, quality control, and project close-out.

This is a full-time position that requires the flexibility of traveling when needed (up to 50%).

How you'll make an impact

Direct, manage, coordinate, and provide support for RoW construction project operations from inception to completion. Type of projects include: new construction up to € 50 million, office and industrial fit­outs, maintenance projects above € 1.5 million.

Ensure SE's Zero Harm Culture is incorporated in all projects from start to finish.

Align, communicate, and work with Project Sponsors and other business stakeholders to establish project performance goals, scope and plan, timelines and milestones, project estimates/ budgets and track performance against planned goals, timelines and budget to meet the project objectives.

Ensure the change management process is tracked and work with others to resolve project issues.

Understand and direct construction projects with minimal interruption to operations and negotiate with operators to implement projects in the most cost-effective manner.

Conduct presentations to executive leadership and Project Team on a regular basis throughout the project life cycle regarding project status, SE's Zero Harm Culture policy performance, schedule and financial tracking, and business impacts.

Ensure accurate records of daily logs, progress reports, and financial reports are being kept and maintained in OnePM system.

Assist in developing bid strategies and provide administrative support of issuance of field directives, evaluating submitted costs, conversion to change orders, obtaining management approval, issuance of purchase and change orders, accurate estimated final cost reporting, and job closeout

Utilize SE RE's project and contract management system software in the daily operation of the business and ensure accurate records of daily logs, progress reports, and financial tracking are being recorded and maintained in the database.

Document and share projects "lessons learned" with other HUB/ Global teams; draw on other project teams experiences to enhance the success of the project and future projects.

Identifies and assigns appropriate resources to accomplish various project tasks; guides and coaches team members through various stages of the project; provides developmental feedback to team members. Ensure the projects comply with PM@RE 3.0 and other SE RE guidelines.
 
What you Bring

Bachelor’s(or above) degree in Civil Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering. PMP certificate is a plus.

10~15yr+ experience in managing construction projects, architects, engineers or construction managers, 5yr+ corporate real estate work experience is a plus.

Excellent written and spoken English. Must have the ability to discuss technical topics with a variety of audiences - contractors, engineers, and members of various teams within Siemens Energy.

Good institution knowledge and understanding of construction methods, best practices and the ability to interpret design drawings and specifications. Knowledge and experience in Large/Medium Power Transformer(LPT/MPT) project, Gas-Insulated Switchgear(GIS) project is a plus.

Expertise in construction and project management administration processes, including contracts, budgets, cash flows, forecasting, construction documents, change orders, schedules, RFls, submittals, and material procurement, cost benchmarking, industry benchmarking.

Demonstrated the ability to independently and effectively manage and direct multiple projects simultaneously in an extremely fast paced and changing environment; keep projects on time, deal with a wide variety of challenges, deadlines, and work with a diverse array of contacts and senior leadership.

Experience presenting to Senior Leadership, good collaboration and communication skills with stakeholders.

Ability to identify potential problems prior to them becoming a larger issue and provide solutions to mitigate.

Fulfill requirement to work in the assigned office location at least four (4) days per week when not on business trip, and must have the flexibility of traveling across different countries in APAC&MEA when needed (up to 50%). Strong ability to self-manage when working outside of office environment.

Supervising and directing the project team during planning, estimating, design, installation, start up, commissioning, turnover and warranty of assigned projects.

Ensuring internal SE partners satisfaction throughout the project and upon project completion.

Advanced computer skills with MS Office suite (Excel, Word, Power Point, and MS Project) and other Multi-national Company’s IT software and tools.
