A Snapshot of Your Day
As a Lead Protection and Control Engineer (f/m/d) for Protection Systems in HV Projects at Grid Automation Technology you are responsible for the design of protection and control concepts, for High Voltage Transmission Substations solutions covering the system/electrical design engineering and the configuration and parameterization engineering, closing with testing procedures (Factory and Site). You will lead your team members from the bid to the execution phase working closely with other Lead Engineers with different domains as Substation Automation System, Cybersecurity and Grid Management Systems within Grid Automation, to create the most innovative digital solutions for our customers.
How You’ll Make an Impact
- Defining control and protection concepts in offers and projects
- Defining work packages for detailed design, configuration, parameterization and testing
- Defining and leading setup to develop solution
- Getting the team prepare for offers and projects
- Interacting and interfacing with Substation Automation and Cybersecurity Engineering to assemble complete Digital Substation Solution
- Securing Quality Assurance scope of work
- Getting technical approval of defined concept
- Conduct Trainings and technical presentations with customers, consultants, regulators, etc.
- Implementing continuous improvement process in System Desing and Configuration and parameterization.
What You bring
- Completed university degree in electrical engineering, automation or comparable education
- Several years of professional experience with protection systems. 12+ years
- Deep knowledge in protection devices from vendors like SIEMENS (SIPROTEC), Hitachi Energy, SEL, GE for HV substations
- Deep knowledge of configuration tools for protection and control devices on bay level of a substation
- Knowledge within different protection philosophies and protection test equipment
- Good communication skills in Spanish and English language
- RESUME MUST BE SUBMITTED IN ENGLISH FOR CONSIDERATION
