We are in search of a site-based Project Engineer with an engineering background and have experience in oil and gas or power projects. You will work closely with the project manager and will bridge design and field execution, coordinating technical, purchasing, logistics, construction and commissioning activities across contractors, suppliers, and internal teams to deliver safe, high-quality, on-time, and cost-conscious outcomes, identifying potential issues, and implementing solutions to keep projects on track.

This role is hands-on at the jobsite, supporting construction, installation, testing, and commissioning, while ensuring compliance with project specifications, standards, and HSE requirements. Additionally, this role requires expertise in contract administration and claims management.

How You’ll Make an Impact

• Project planning and control Track progress, S‑curves, look‑ahead plans; prepare recovery plans when needed.
• Coordinate dependencies and critical path with engineering, procurement, and site teams. Coordinate with project managers, site managers, contractors, and other stakeholders to ensure alignment on project objectives and timelines.
• Scope and change management Translate contract/SOW into clear scope, deliverables, and acceptance criteria.
• Conduct contract analysis and interpretation of legal terms and conditions, ensuring compliance, claims negotiation and dispute resolution.
• Support claims and variations; working knowledge of EPC/LSTK and FIDIC terms.
• Procurement and supplier management, collaborate with procurement teams to ensure timely delivery of materials and equipment and track shipment/material arrivals.
• Construction/site coordination Coordinate site readiness, temporary facilities, and contractor daily activities. Monitor construction progress and performance, identifying and addressing any issues or delays.
• Support the project manager, site manager with regards to letters towards the sub-supplier, sub-contractor, and any other stakeholders with relevant site work progress information.
• Ensure adherence to health, safety, and environmental regulations on-site.

What You Bring

• Bachelor’s degree in mechanical or electrical engineering.
• 7+ years of site-based Project/Field Engineering experience in oil and gas or power generation / transmission projects (greenfield or brownfield).
• PMP or equivalent is an advantage.
• Solid understanding of contract administration, including familiarity with legal and contractual guidelines related to construction projects.
• Experienced in claims negotiation and dispute resolution.
• Experienced in interpreting P&IDs, SLDs, equipment datasheets, and installation drawings. Proficiency in MS Project or Primavera, Excel/PowerPoint/Word, SharePoint; ability to work with CAD viewers (AutoCAD/Navisworks) and model reviewers.
• Ability to lead by influence and collaborate with multicultural, multi-disciplinary teams.
• Strong negotiation skills and experience in contract management. Familiarity with HSE systems (PTW, LOTO) and construction best practices. Proficiency in English and Arabic is mandatory.

Our Gas Services division offers Low-emission power generation through service and decarbonization.
