A Snapshot of Your Day

As a Procurement Project Manager, you’ll take the lead in local procurement activities, driving strategic sourcing and supplier negotiations to achieve the lowest Total Cost of Acquisition (TCA). Your work directly supports our cost reduction goals and ensures that every purchase delivers maximum value to the business.

How You’ll Make an Impact 

  • Managing procurement and negotiation activities for components related to the energy or industrial sector in order to optimize costs and ensure continuity of supply for contract execution
  • Engages in contract and price negotiations with new and existing suppliers to reduce commercial risks and optimize commercial advantage for current and future projects
  • Developing and providing robust and integrated strategies regarding goods and suppliers to support a supply chain capable of sustaining GT projects, both at the time of bidding to customers and during the execution of contracts signed with customers (in progress)
  • Issuing purchase orders in SAP
  • Preparing supplier selection decisions (awarding decisions) both during the bidding period (tender) and during the execution period of contracts signed with customers
  • Working in SAP and other IT systems related to the procurement/supply chain process within SE
  • Lead cost reduction and resource programs to support strategy execution, ensuring management of impact on existing supply chains
  • Works closely with internal customers to ensure the correct and efficient running of tenders and project execution from a supply chain perspective
  • Contribute to implementation and ensure the use of global SE methods, processes, and systems to ensure efficiency and compliance
  • Ensures compliance with SE procurement processes and procedures at the local level
  • Expert in procurement in relation to local internal customers
  • Manages the flow within the supply chain in the local GT organization and identifies methods for improving it (purchasing/orders/deliveries/logistics/storage)
  • Performing other tasks assigned by superiors in accordance with professional knowledge, experience, and skills

What You Bring

  • University degree in economics or engineering or equivalent; CIPS qualification recommended
  • Knowledge of project management methodologies
  • Knowledge and experience in project finance management, forecasting, and project cost control in complex environments
  • Excellent communication and adaptability skills, good time management and organizational skills
  • Intercultural awareness and skills, working with different geographical areas in different time zones
  • Proficiency in Project Management tools, SAP, Microsoft PowerPoint, Excel, and SharePoint
  • Robust experience in procurement and supply chain management
  • Ability to work in a complex, rapidly changing global organizational environment
  • Good presentation and stakeholder management skills
  • Excellent commercial, contractual, and project management understanding
  • Experience in contract negotiation
  • Familiarity with component manufacturing processes and qualification and quality procedures
  • Knowledge of working with a global supplier base in a matrix environment
  • The desire and ability to travel
  • Advanced English language skills are a must
  • Availability to work from our Bucharest office 3 days per week, with 2 days remote
