A Snapshot of Your Day

This role leads sales and business development across the Sales Operations Pacific (SOP) region, managing teams in Australia, Korea, and Japan to achieve annual targets. It focuses on building pipelines in control systems, cybersecurity, digitalization, and decarbonization for power plants. The position involves strategic planning, customer engagement, market analysis, and cross-functional collaboration. Strong leadership in talent development and customer relationship management is essential, along with coordinating marketing initiatives and working closely with finance for forecasting and reporting.

How You’ll Make an Impact

  • Accountable for CD sales target, business development pipeline, and customer relationship management for SOP region
  • Lead and manage a team of sales professionals and bid / proposal professionals located in Australia, Korea and Japan, and indirectly lead other supporting resources, to achieve and be accountable for the given annual sales target
  • Build and capture sales pipelines in control system businesses, cybersecurity solutions, digitalization portfolios for existing power plants, new built power plants, and new business fields including decarbonization
  • Build a stable and suitable business pipeline for the coming years. Identify development plan for future grow areas and establish action plan with respective stakeholders
  • Drive business development and early engagement with customers at various levels to understand their operations plan, challenges faced, then identify business opportunities for SE
  • Drive development of excellent customers relationships, especially with key customers, in each country. Document customer interactions and develop capture plan
  • Analyze the overall regional market situations against our solutions and resources in the team to capture untapped market
  • Ensure proper talent management to grow talent in the team; ensure successful talent retention and succession plan; build the bench strength
  • Work closely with other business functions (within and outside CD) to ensure lessons learnt are considered in future opportunities, identify potential growth and cooperation areas
  • Work closely with the finance team in sales calculation, reporting, business forecast, etc.
  • Identify and do those require marketing roadshows, virtual or physical seminar, etc. to increase market awareness

What You Bring

  • Engineering related field with Business Administration is a plus
  • Internationally orientated person with the willingness to explore and work with a culturally diverse team
  • 10 years or more power plant related working experience, with focus in DCS is a requirement
  • 5years or more working experience in sales or business development related functions
  • Strong leadership skill set to lead both direct subordinate (sales and bid) and supporting functions from Germany, etc. towards a common goal
  • Must have an attitude to deliver as ONE-TEAM and willingness to support other teams
  • Ability to inspire the team members and build a team that cares for each other
  • Experience in developing solutions for new business fields including the renewable sector would be a key attribute
  • Able to travel up to 50% and work flexible hours as needed

Our Gas Services division offers Low-emission power generation through service and decarbonization. Zero or low emission power generation and all gas turbines under one roof, steam turbines and generators. Decarbonization opportunities through service offerings, modernization, and digitalization of the fleet.
