We are seeking an enthusiastic and motivated Operations Specialist to join our dynamic operations team. In this role, you will be the scheduling expert, handover coordinator, and digitalization co-lead for Siemens Energy Transformer Service.
What You Bring
- Bachelor’s Degree
- 4+ years of experience in project management/planning/scheduling, planning is ideal
- Certification received through PMI or other similar organizations focused on recognition of expertise in Project Management is helpful
- Requires strong computer skills to include Microsoft Excel and database applications.
- An understanding of critical path methodology to ensure, and communicate, timely delivery of milestone tasks
How You’ll Make an Impact
- Manage scheduling software and maintain 100% accuracy. Integrate data from multiple data streams to ensure the timeliness of asset dispatching and recovery, facilitating effective project execution and minimizing delays. Manage PTO of technicians and ensure a full crew is available for a project.
- Work closely with the project team to develop, maintain, and manage the project schedule, including development, engineering, construction, supply chain, regulatory, and finance-related activities. Participate in regular project team meetings, keeping all project information current and adjusting for changes in a fluid schedule. Ensure that all projects are being scheduled and forecasted using a consistent methodology.
- Prepare spend curves and cash-flow forecasts during the life cycle of the project, responsible for reporting schedule deliverables to the project lead and the project team. Conduct quarterly project forecasting to assess project timelines, resource needs, and budget allocations, ensuring alignment with overall project goals.
- Provide schedule analysis and metrics to key stakeholders on a regular basis. Regularly review critical path, cost loading, schedule content, use of relationships and lag, constraints, and milestones. Conduct data analysis to identify trends and areas for improvement, implementing strategies to enhance scheduling efficiencies and optimize resource utilization. Assist or lead in the creation of comprehensive schedule submissions using the Project Success Method, resource, and cost loading as necessary.
- Manage asset allocation by regional hub, coordinating with resource managers and project managers to optimize resource distribution and availability for ongoing and upcoming projects.
- Regular communication with Stakeholders; resource managers, PMs, and technicians on the day-to-day logistics of a field service group; the fleet manager and resource manager to ensure equipment maintenance will not affect project timelines.
- Applicants must be legally authorized for employment in the United States without need for current or future employer-sponsored work authorization. Siemens Energy employees with current visa sponsorship may be eligible for internal transfers.
