A Snapshot of Your Day

We are seeking a Mechanical Design Engineer with strong hands-on experience in UG NX, CAD, and Sheet Metal Design to support the development of control panels, power panels, and converters used in power production and auxiliary systems. The ideal candidate will possess a solid mechanical foundation with exposure to electro-mechanical integration and electrical components, working in close collaboration with cross-functional teams to deliver high-quality, manufacturable design

How You’ll Make an Impact

  • Design and model sheet metal and welded assemblies for control panels, power panels, and converter systems using UG NX.
  • Create 3D models, 2D manufacturing drawings, and assembly documentation in compliance with ISO and GD&T/GPS standards.
  • Work in a PLM/PDM environment (Teamcenter or Windchill) for data management and engineering workflows.
  • Interpret electrical circuit diagrams and integrate bus bars, switchgear, sealing solutions, and enclosures in mechanical designs.
  • Perform Design Failure Mode and Effect Analysis (DFMEA) and participate in design reviews.
  • Support Engineering Change Management (ECM) and release processes.
  • Collaborate with suppliers and procurement teams for proto panel builds, cost evaluations, and manufacturability reviews.
  • Ensure timely delivery of Technical Document Packages (TDP) aligned with project milestones and gate reviews.
  • Coordinate with cross-functional teams including electrical, manufacturing, and validation.
  • Apply DFx principles (design for manufacturability, assembly, and cost) to improve product performance and cost-efficiency.

What You Bring

  • UG NX (Siemens CAD software) – expertise in sheet metal and welded structures.
  • Strong understanding of mechanical design, GD&T/GPS, and CAD principles.
