A Snapshot of Your Day

This role is a strategic addition to support the expansion of in‑house repair and overhaul capabilities for the LM2500 gas turbine, directly contributing to a key growth plan for the Integrated Powertrain Solutions (IPS) business.
To establish this new capability, the position focuses on three core areas:
  • Developing and executing advanced repair and overhaul engineering solutions
  • Establishing robust processes and workflows
  • Ensuring stringent quality and reliability standards for all engine work
The ideal candidate brings deep technical knowledge and proactive problem‑solving skills to manage complex projects and influence outcomes across organizational boundaries. Acting as the primary engineering point of contact, this role collaborates closely with Sales, R&D, and Operations to deliver competitive, high‑quality overhauls.

How You'll Make an Impact

Overhaul & Repair Engineering (40%)
  • Develop, validate, and document new repair schemes and overhaul procedures for LM2500 gas turbine components and systems.
  • Provide expert technical disposition for non‑conforming components by working with shop floor specialists and the central Technical Support team.
  • Analyze component wear, damage, and failure modes to guide repair strategies and support long-term fleet reliability improvements.
  • Serve as the lead technical authority during overhaul execution, coordinating engineering response and updating documentation.
Strategic Project & Program Management (40%)
  • Manage complex projects involving concurrent engineering and manufacturing, including proactive planning and deviation reporting.
  • Execute R&D projects for overhaul and repair development, coordinating product requirements and cost estimates with Business Development, Sales, and Operations.
  • Lead tactical synergy initiatives (e.g., standards harmonization, method development) with R&D and the wider Siemens Energy repair network.
Process & Quality Improvement (20%)
  • Design and implement improvement programs and workflows, benchmarking best practices from other Aeroderivative service teams.
  • Integrate feedback from Sales, Business Development, and Operations to drive continuous improvement in LM2500 products and services.
  • Collaborate with quality control teams throughout the repair and overhaul process to ensure compliance and customer requirements are met.

  • Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Mechanical, Aerospace, or related Engineering discipline.
  • Significant professional experience in gas turbine overhaul and repair, with demonstrated subject matter expertise in LM2500 aeroderivative engines, including configurations and variants.
  • Proven experience managing complex engineering projects in a cross‑functional matrix environment, with strong problem‑solving, communication, and influencing skills.

Our Gas Services division offers Low-emission power generation through service and decarbonization. Zero or low emission power generation and all gas turbines under one roof, steam turbines and generators.
