How to contribute to our vision
This internship supports a new project within the Noirmoutier (NOY) offshore wind farm's Operations & Maintenance (O&M) service team. The primary objective is to enhance operational efficiency by strengthening the interaction, coordination, and information flow between back-office functions and site-based technicians. To achieve this, the role will focus on two core areas: a detailed analysis of the existing operational framework and supporting the improvement of coordination processes. This involves a specific review of the newly communicated RACI Matrix 2.0 to understand its application and identify areas for enhancement within the NOY SE context. Given the focus on process analysis and operational coordination, the ideal candidate is a student in engineering or a related discipline with strong analytical skills. They should be capable of conducting a gap analysis, engaging with various stakeholders, and documenting findings to support process improvement initiatives. Strengthen the interaction between Back Office functions and site-based technicians, ensuring effective coordination, information flow, and operational alignment. Review and understand the current RACI Matrix 2.0, with a specific focus on its application within NOY SE. (new communication of the RACI matrix 2.0) Perform a gap analysis of the RACI Matrix for NOY SE, identifying: Unclear ownership or accountability Overlapping responsibilities Missing roles or decision points Misalignment between defined responsibilities and actual operations Produce a RACI Matrix gap analysis report, including: Key findings and identified gaps Impact on operations, availability, and efficiency Clear recommendations Define and develop improvement actions (“axes to develop”) to address the identified gaps and support the implementation of an optimized RACI Matrix. - Review and understand the current RACI Matrix 2.0, with a specific focus on its application within the NOY SE O&M service.
- Perform a gap analysis of the RACI Matrix implementation by comparing the defined model against actual on-site practices and workflows.
- Conduct interviews with back-office staff and site technicians to gather qualitative data on role clarity, information flow, and coordination challenges.
- Document findings from the analysis and propose recommendations to bridge identified gaps and improve the effectiveness of the RACI model.
- 40% Operational Coordination and Reporting
- Assist in mapping and documenting current communication workflows between back-office functions and field technicians to identify bottlenecks.
- Support the O&M team in daily coordination activities to gain firsthand insight into operational dynamics and challenges.
- Prepare summary reports and presentations to communicate the findings of the gap analysis to the O&M service management team.
Education
- Currently pursuing a Bachelor's or Master's degree in Engineering (e.g., Industrial, Mechanical, Electrical), Business Administration, or a related field with a focus on operations management.
- No formal work experience required; relevant academic project experience in process analysis, operational improvement, or data analysis is advantageous.
- Fluency in English is required; proficiency in French is highly beneficial.
