A Snapshot of Your Day

As the IT Engineer for the new Large Power Transformer greenfield facility, you will define, implement, and support the full IT landscape required for Sales, Engineering, Quality, and Manufacturing processes. Your day involves configuring and deploying systems, supporting both IT and OT infrastructures, ensuring cybersecurity and compliance with Siemens Energy standards, and collaborating closely with the Digital Lighthouse Leader and cross‑functional teams. You will also train project personnel, support digitalization and TPM initiatives, and contribute to building a safe, efficient, and fully auditable digital environment for the plant’s start‑up and long‑term operations.

How You’ll Make an Impact

• Lead the design, planning, and implementation of the complete IT landscape for the new manufacturing site.
• Ensure all digital and equipment‑related systems are installed, integrated, and commissioned in compliance with Siemens Energy and EHS regulations.
• Develop project schedules, budgets, and resource plans to support IT initiatives and digital infrastructure deployment.
• Manage CapEx and One‑Time Costs, ensuring proper documentation and adherence to IT governance requirements.
• Train and support project teams on new tools, systems, and digital workflows, fostering innovation and operational excellence.
• Promote a strong culture of safety, cybersecurity, quality, and continuous improvement across all digital systems and users.

What You Bring

• Bachelor’s degree in IT, Engineering, or a related field; advanced studies are a plus.
• Strong troubleshooting abilities and effectiveness when collaborating with diverse operational and engineering teams.
• Solid understanding of networking fundamentals and experience supporting digital production or industrial systems.
• Familiarity with cybersecurity frameworks and industrial cybersecurity standards, ideally applied in manufacturing or OT environments.
• Bonus experience with connected industrial equipment such as sensors, PLCs, HMIs, edge devices, or cloud‑enabled factory solutions.
• Excellent project management, problem‑solving, analytical, and communication skills with the ability to manage multiple initiatives under tight deadlines.

As part of the Digital Lighthouse team, you will support the technological backbone of the project, working closely with the Digital Lighthouse Leader and all project workstreams to enable automation, digitalization, and operational excellence.
