A Snapshot of Your Day
As Head of Global Commodity Management for Production Equipment, you are accountable for the global procurement strategy, governance, and performance of production equipment related commodities. You lead a global procurement team responsible for standard and specialized equipment, steel structure and auxiliary equipment, machine tools, as well as transport and lifting equipment.
In this leadership role, you act as a strategic partner to all Business Areas, translating project and portfolio requirements into scalable global sourcing strategies while enabling strong regional execution within a robust governance framework.
How You’ll Make an Impact
● Define and implement global procurement strategies, governance standards, and sourcing frameworks for production equipment commodities across all Business Areas and regions.
● Lead, develop, and inspire a global procurement team while strengthening capabilities in project procurement, supplier management, contract management, and commercial risk control.
● Steer strategic sourcing, tenders, negotiations, and contract awards for major production equipment projects, ensuring alignment with business needs, timelines, and value targets.
● Manage global supplier markets, qualification, performance, and development to secure reliable capacity, quality, innovation, and competitive cost structures.
● Deliver measurable value through cost optimization, compliance, transparency, digital procurement tools, data-driven decision-making, and process excellence.
What You Bring
● Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Industrial Engineering, Business Administration, or a related field with a strong focus on production equipment.
● Extensive experience in global production equipment procurement, project procurement, or commercial project management within the energy sector.
● Proven leadership experience in managing teams within international, multi-regional organizations is highly desirable.
● Strong expertise in contracts, negotiations, claim management, and supplier management to ensure effective procurement processes.
● Strategic mindset with a strong ability to execute plans and manage stakeholders, along with expertise in Digitalization and AI technologies.
● Business-fluent in English; proficiency in additional languages is an advantage, along with a willingness to travel internationally (approximately 20–40%).
