A Snapshot of Your Day
As the Head of Customs Operations, you will lead a team of customs experts performing operative customs processes for different entities of the Siemens Energy organization in different locations. You will coordinate the team as a role model, by regular controlling, deriving improvement measures and reacting to upcoming challenges.

- By collaborating closely with the relevant Headquarter teams
- By ensuring up to date process execution through modern IT support, always in alignment with the FE roadmap
- By coordinating colleagues from different countries but part of the Global Hubs organization
Key responsibilities include team management, performance tracking, fostering collaboration, and implementing improvement measures. The role requires adherence to internal and external regulations, including export control and EHS standards, and carrying out additional duties as assigned
Essential skills include advanced communication, cross-cultural awareness, project management proficiency, and English fluency. The position demands strong relational and managerial abilities such as decision making, team management, and innovation
What You Bring
- 2+ years of extensive experience in customs/international trade compliance. Bachelor’s or Associate Degree or High School Diploma and relevant years of experience.
- Global Trade Management technology/ERP experience such as: SAP or other global trade management software.
- Ability to comprehend and digest topics, but also a well settled capability to derive risks, cost, and solutions
- Excellent communication skills and adaptability, good time management and organizational skills.
- Cross-cultural awareness and skills, working with different geographical areas in different time zones.
- Excellent skills to use Project Management tools, Microsoft PowerPoint, Excel and SharePoint.
- Availability and ability to travel
- English language (required)
