A Snapshot of Your Day 

As an HRSG System Engineer (f/m/d), you will work closely with international proposal and execution teams, suppliers, and contractors to support the thermodynamic design and integration of boiler systems across power plant projects. Your day will involve reviewing customer specifications, evaluating supplier designs and calculations, collaborating on optimized technical solutions, and coordinating system performance and heat exchanger design. You will engage with global stakeholders in a dynamic, international environment, balancing technical analysis with cross-functional collaboration.

How You’ll Make an Impact 
  • Evaluation of customer requirements, specifications, contracts, and technical questionnaires
  • Assessment of supplier thermodynamic designs during both bid and project execution phases
  • Development of optimized project-specific solutions in collaboration with suppliers, balancing performance, efficiency, and cost targets
  • Coordination and optimization of HRSG systems with a focus on overall plant performance
  • Review and validation of thermodynamic calculations and supplier engineering inputs
  • Optimization of heat exchanger design and integration within power plant systems, including combined heat and power, decarbonized, and hybrid solutions
What You BringBachelor’s or Master’s degree, or equivalent qualification, in Mechanical Engineering, Process Engineering, Energy Technology, or a related engineering discipline
  • Bachelor’s or Master’s degree, or equivalent qualification, in Mechanical Engineering, Process Engineering, Energy Technology, or a related engineering discipline
  • Experience in thermodynamic design, preferably within industrial or power generation applications, considered an advantage
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with the ability to evaluate technical designs and calculations
  • High level of self-motivation, results orientation, organizational skills, multitasking ability, and commitment to quality
  • Willingness to travel internationally, with a minimum travel requirement of 20%
  • Proficiency in English and strong intercultural awareness for effective collaboration in virtual international teams and with global suppliers
About the Team

Our Gas Services division offers Low-emission power generation through service and 
decarbonization. Zero or low emission power generation and all gas turbines under one roof, 
steam turbines and generators. Decarbonization opportunities through service offerings, 
modernization, and digitalization of the fleet.
