A Snapshot of Your Day
As Global Head of Offshore Pre-assembly and Ports within Offshore Construction you will lead the overall pre-assembly package for our construction projects and all operations in our fixed port locations. For the pre-assembly package you will be responsible for defining standards, managing performance and improving the package accordingly. A solution-oriented collaboration with different stakeholders will be key to achieving success.
How You’ll Make an Impact
- Lead the pre-assembly package for offshore execution projects and manage a global team of ~170 across Denmark, Germany, the UK, France, the US, and Taiwan, reporting directly to the Global Head of Construction in a manager-of-managers' role.
- Define and continuously improve standards, workflows, cost, planning, tools, and performance for the pre-assembly sub-packages, supported by a dedicated package owner.
- Coordinate port operations and component maintenance at key locations (Esbjerg, Hull, Le Havre, Taichung), ensuring timely, budget-compliant, and high-quality delivery.
- Drive contractor development for pre-assembly, implementing the SQDC framework to manage and improve contractor performance.
- Ensure the highest safety standards across all pre-assembly sites and foster a strong safety culture by leading through example.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams and act as a mentor and sparring partner to enable a high-performing team in the evolving organizational setup.
What You Bring
- Master’s or bachelor’s degree in engineering, Business Administration, or equivalent
- Proven experience in the offshore construction business (<5 years)
- Leadership experience in line management as well as in a project organisation
- A role model that leads by example is courageous in action, open in communication, and transparent in decision making
- Managing and igniting change: You identify and address opportunities and weaknesses in your business as well as your team
- The ability to communicate confidently in English across all levels of the organization, from site to senior management and to suppliers and customers
