A Snapshot of Your Day
As a member of the Steam Turbine and Generator North America Business Controlling team, you will be responsible for fulfilling accounting, forecasting, and reporting requirements while coordinating, reviewing, analyzing, and consolidating feedback to your internal customers and stakeholders.
How You’ll Make an Impact
You will gain valuable experience and knowledge in these areas while working with several cross-functional teams and multiple levels of management to improve existing processes and approaches
- Act as a member of business controlling team providing transparency and developing/enhancing processes to assist with financial performance.
- Support month end closing and reporting, including journal entry preparation, and miscellaneous reporting.
- Perform account reconciliations.
- Support quarterly and annual KPMG Audit
- Perform financial planning, forecasting, controlling, and consolidating budget data (including top-down and bottom-up plans) while ensuring compliance with Siemens Energy Financial Reporting Guidelines and other accounting standards.
- Prepare various financial reports and presentations for senior management while compiling and reviewing financial plans and budgets at complex levels.
What You Bring
- BS/BA in Accounting or Finance
- 4+ years of successful experience Accounting and/or Finance with the ability to handle multiple topics and manage time appropriately.
- Strong analytical skills, attention to detail and accuracy; self-driven and resourceful to achieve goals and be proactive in problem solving; flexible and able to adapt in a fast-paced and dynamic environment with tight deadlines.
- Able to successfully complete tasks as assigned in an efficient manner and within a reasonable amount of time; must take responsibility for and ownership of assigned tasks with demonstrated ability to learn tasks quickly.
- Able and willing to work overtime at month end and during the month if/when needed.
- Demonstrated ability to work closely with various contacts within the organization, Finance, Engineering, Field Service, etc.
- Strong Microsoft Excel experience; familiarity with Alteryx/Tableau a plus
- Travel if needed up to 5%.
- Must be fluent in English.
