A Snapshot of Your Day
In your new role, you report to the Head of Global Compensation and act as the financial expert for global employee share programs, collaborating closely with colleagues from Compensation & Benefits, Accounting, Controlling, Taxes, and external partners. You take ownership of the accounting and reporting landscape for equity compensation, ensuring compliance with IFRS 2 while maintaining high standards of accuracy and transparency.
You analyze financial impacts, perform valuations together with external experts, and translate complex data into meaningful insights to support decision-making at senior management level. At the same time, you coordinate cross-functional processes across HR, Finance, Payroll, and Treasury, ensuring smooth execution from grant to settlement. Through your analytical expertise and stakeholder collaboration, you drive continuous improvements, optimize reporting processes, and contribute to the evolution of a globally consistent and future-ready share plans framework.
How You’ll Make a difference
- Act as subject matter expert for the accounting and financial reporting of employee share programs (LTI plans, ESPP) under IFRS 2
- Prepare analyses, forecasts, and impact assessments of equity compensation costs to support budgeting, planning, and strategic decision-making
- Prepare and review financial disclosures, board reports, and decision documents related to share-based compensation for senior management, the Board, and external auditors
- Perform and oversee fair value measurements and valuations of equity instruments (e.g., Monte Carlo simulations, Black-Scholes) in collaboration with actuaries and external valuation specialists
- Partner with Accounting, Controlling, Treasury, HR, Tax, Legal, Payroll, and Global Compensation & Benefits to manage end-to-end financial processes (expenses, accruals, share funding) and ensure accuracy from grant through vesting to settlement
- Support global projects including plan redesigns, system implementations, and M&A integrations by assessing financial and accounting implications of equity programs and ensuring seamless transition and compliance
- Drive process optimization and automation in accounting and reporting workflows for equity compensation, leveraging system enhancements and digital solutions
- Serve as key contact for external auditors, valuation experts, and equity administration providers; ensure high-quality service delivery and alignment with Siemens Energy's reporting standards
