A Snapshot of Your Day

As an EHS Specialist, you will ensure a safe and compliant work environment by performing daily site walk‑throughs, identifying hazards, verifying adherence to safety standards, and monitoring key performance indicators. Your day includes managing incidents and leading root‑cause investigations, supporting audits, following up on corrective actions, and developing emergency plans and training programs. You will act as a champion of Siemens Energy’s Zero Harm culture, driving continuous improvement and providing clear safety insights through reporting and analysis.

How You’ll Make an Impact

  • Conduct daily inspections to identify hazards, unsafe conditions, and deviations from EHS standards.
  • Lead and support incident investigations, perform root‑cause analysis, and coordinate the closure of corrective and preventive actions.
  • Ensure full legal compliance with Mexican regulations (NOM, STPS, SEMARNAT) and Siemens Energy EHS requirements.
  • Develop and deploy emergency response plans, safety induction programs, and targeted EHS training.
  • Support internal and external audits, ensuring findings are addressed and documented in a timely manner.
  • Promote and strengthen the Zero Harm culture across the project and later in operations through coaching, communication, and standardization of safety processes.

What You Bring

  • Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Construction Management, or a related field, with experience in industrial and construction environments.
  • At least 2 years of experience supporting or managing EHS activities in manufacturing or industrial construction projects.
  • Working knowledge of ISO 9001, ISO 14001, ISO 45001, and strong understanding of Mexican safety and environmental regulations.
  • Experience conducting risk assessments, incident investigations, and implementing root‑cause and mitigation methodologies.
  • Familiarity with continuous improvement tools such as Kaizen, 5S, and Lean to enhance EHS performance.
  • Strong communication, digital literacy, and change‑leadership skills, with the ability to engage all levels of the organization; fluent English required.

You will join a dynamic, international site team dedicated to delivering safe, high‑quality power generation projects through strong collaboration between construction, commissioning, logistics, engineering, and commercial functions. The EHS team plays a central role in enabling project success and operational readiness, working alongside global EHS professionals to exchange best practices and support Siemens Energy’s Zero Harm vision. You will partner closely with project, production, maintenance, and quality teams while contributing to continuous improvement, sustainability initiatives, and the digital transformation of EHS processes.
